There are several representative groups at the German Police University. Their members represent the interests of students and staff at the university.
Equal Opportunities
The Equal Opportunities Officers at the German Police University are committed to equal opportunities. Their tasks are diverse: from individual counseling to participation in university policy decisions in the Senate and in the appointment committees.

At the German Police University, two staff councils perform the tasks assigned to them by the North Rhine-Westphalia State Staff Representation Act:
for full-time tariff employees and civil servants in the staff council for non-academic employees and for academic employees and teaching staff
for special tasks who do not head a department unit, in the Academic Staff Council.
One of their central tasks is to represent and protect the rights and interests of employees within the university.

Representatives for Severely Disabled Persons
The Representative Body for Severely Disabled Employees is the elected representative body for severely disabled and equivalent employees of the German Police University. It supports them in their day-to-day work by providing information and assistance on issues relating to (severe) disabilities and work. Due to its integration mandate, it is also the point of contact for severely disabled and equivalent job applicants.
The students are represented by a spokesperson and his/her deputy. The election is held annually.
