Theme: Rebuilding the police in Afghanistan – Looking back to the future

After twenty years of international police engagement in Afghanistan, it is time to take stock of the results. Participants are invited to gain an in-depth insight into the history of international police missions deployed to Afghanistan, the current situation and the way ahead. These aspects will be assessed from different perspectives, including the police, the political and the military perspective. Participants will have the possibility to share knowledge as well as to enhance their intercultural skills and competences.

Target audience

Senior police officers, physicians in the police medical services, police priests and psychologists, senior military officials and academics interested in international police missions, peacekeeping and security sector reform.
